Bunny and Darien kiss under a starlit sky. A shooting star goes past. In their house, Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna also note the meteor.

Somewhere in the galaxy, a woman sees King Endymion and Neo Queen Serenity being crowned, the power of their Crystals shining throughout the system. The woman is determined to have their power for herself.

Bunny wakes up crying. Later, she snaps at Hotaru and Rini as they all walk to school. Then, the older girl goes on to her high school and meets Mina, Lita and Amy. Michiru and Haruka also arrive, attending the same high school with the others this year. Setsuna is a nurse at Rini and Hotaru's school.

After school, Bunny goes to the airport with Darien to see him off. He is going to America to study at Harvard for a year. He gives Bunny a box, which she opens to reveal a lovely ring with a heart-shaped stone in the middle. Darien kisses and begins to ask something... but with a flash of light he fades away as a woman in a metallic sailor-style costume grabs his Golden Crystal. As this woman fades with the Crystal, the stunned Bunny faints.

Seiya, leader of the hot new singing group, the Three Lights, catches Bunny as she falls. The group takes her along in their car. When she comes to, Bunny smells lilacs. She is still in a daze and asks to be let out so she can walk home.

The next day, Bunny wakes as before and goes to school. She tells the others Darien left for America, since she doesn't remember what happened. After school, Rini travels through time back to Crystal Tokyo as she had planned.

At night, Michiru and Haruka preform along with the Three Lights at a concert the other girls attend. A woman steps out of the shadows, Sailor Iron Mouse, and attacks. The audience runs out as the girls transform. They fight, but then another sort of Sailor Soldier arrives and finishes off the enemy. The new Sailor trio leave without a word.
